One long drive across 3 provinces with a almost 3 yr old Tot , 10-12 hr of driving time per day .... many books and one portable DVD player, Two hotel nights and many more gas station stops finally brought us to a beautiful breath taking province of British Columbia.
And more importantly to spend much needed catch up time with my folks + brother. The holiday time together was beyond words ... to go for sooo long with out seeing your mother + Father, To hug them and to see their faces when you hear them laughing and conversing over the time we've spent apart , To see them age a little more but still are as beautiful as ever ! I can not put a word to that feeling I can put more than one, Joy , Value , Love , Bliss , Comfort , Grateful.
After catching up it was time to enjoy summer B.C. Style !! Which is being outdoors 98 % of the time. The amazing Falls at bridal falls was worth the 15 min trek to get up there + see the view !! The beach at Harrison Hot Springs was always fun on a hot day. dinotown for the little ones to run around and play with you guessed it DINOS !!! The lakes and Rivers surrounding are natures best work of art !! Shopping malls + Stores are same but different. And IKEA !! no one quite understands my love for the enormous store ... maybe if we had one I would not be so star struck when I get to one ! lol. Come on WPG get an IKEA !!!!!
And like everything else, All good things must come to an end, Ethan was soooo home sick !! Daddy , Daddy , Home , Daddy ...Is all I heard for a week straight, So after 3 1/2 wks. we flew back to our wonderful sunny + Big blue sky city Winnipeg !! AKA: Home !!!
Of course we had more summer fun to do at home too ... Fishing + Camping + Tricycle riding + swimming + park playing + star looking + carnival going . It all wraps up a wonderful time + the best couple months of the year ... It's really too short I tell ya !!
Now we are looking forward to Preschool for Ethan and Big Birthday parties to be had... and dumm da da dummm .... Potty time YAY he's doin' it !!!
